Manual Lymph Drainage

What is Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD)?

Manual Lymph Drainage as provided by chiropractors, osteopaths, physiotherapists, physical therapists, massage therapists, nurses or occupational therapists is a form of therapy where special strokes are used to encourage lymph drainage and thus exert a positive influence on a variety of pathologies.

Manual Lymph Drainage is applied – mostly in combination with compression therapy – to treat oedema.

Why is MLD different:

MLD requires specialised training due to its unique stroke technique and system. This comprehensive training at various levels, includes medical theory classes and practical units to reinforce skills and knowledge.
